Legion Band headlines Power Bowl Halftime Show

Performance will celebrate Royal Canadian Legion Branch 34's 100th anniversary during SportsKlub championship game Sunday in Orillia.
SportsKlub has announced that the City of Orillia Legion Pipes & Drums Band will perform during the Orillia flag football Power Bowl championship game on Sunday, June 21 at the West Orillia Sports Complex.
The performance will serve as part of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 34's 100th anniversary celebrations, bringing together two local organizations with strong ties to the community.
"We're incredibly honoured to have the Orillia Legion Pipes & Drums Band as part of the Power Bowl," said SportsKlub director and founder Tyler Evans. "SportsKlub has always been about more than the games played. It's about bringing people together, celebrating community and creating memorable experiences. Having the Legion band perform at halftime is something our players and spectators will remember for years."
The Power Bowl is SportsKlub's championship game and one of the organization's largest annual events. What began as a small recreational flag football league has grown into a year-round community sports organization offering football, baseball, golf and other recreational programming.
The City of Orillia Legion Pipes & Drums Band has been a fixture at community events throughout the region and will play a prominent role in several major celebrations this summer. In addition to the Power Bowl halftime show, the band is scheduled to perform in the City of Orillia's Canada Day Parade on July 1. The Royal Canadian Legion Branch 34 will also be recognized for its centennial anniversary during the Orillia Scottish Festival happening from July 17-19.
Power Bowl 39 is scheduled for Sunday, June 21 at 8 p.m. at the West Orillia Sports Complex turf field. The halftime performance is expected to take place approximately 15 to 20 minutes into the game.
