Week 5 turns into offensive showcase in Orillia Flag Football
CMF Automotive stays perfect and SportsKlub’s playmakers light up the field across four high-scoring matchups

SportsKlub Orillia Flag Football produced plenty of offence at the West Orillia Sports Complex on Monday night.
The CMF Automotive Silver Bombers kept its perfect start alive. The Wagner Lawn Care Huskers put together a 520-yard offensive performance. The Hotshots Sandblasting Augies continued building momentum after last week's comeback. And the Speaking of Wildlife Scouts added another victory to their expansion season.
Silver Bombers survive Blues to stay perfect

The CMF Automotive Silver Bombers are still unbeaten.
One week after moving to 4-0, CMF Automotive faced a Rick Grant Landscaping Blues team that had won three straight. This time, something had to give. The teams entered the fourth quarter tied at 20 before the Silver Bombers scored the final seven points of the game to escape with a 27-20 victory.
It was about as evenly matched as the scoreboard suggests. CMF finished with 310 total yards. The Blues had 305.
Luke Phillips delivered another big night for CMF, catching three passes for 95 yards and two touchdowns. Colton Thompson threw for 135 yards and two touchdowns, while Jesse Bremner added 125 yards and two more scores. Ethan Westbrooke and Rishan Harlos each caught touchdowns as the Bombers spread the scoring around.
The Blues had plenty of big plays of their own. Matt Planta threw two touchdowns and rushed for 55 yards, while Vince Pitines combined for 120 yards between rushing and receiving. Aiden McMaster, Brandon Watson and Hayden Woodbeck each caught a touchdown.
Huskers offence erupts

The Wagner Lawn Care Huskers had playmakers everywhere.
The Huskers piled up 520 total yards in its 34-24 victory to the Synergy Health Care Monsters, including 360 yards through the air and another 160 on the ground. The Huskers produced 15 plays of at least 15 yards and scored on five of nine drives.
Marcopolo Calvillo was right in the middle of it. He completed 10 of 13 passes for 195 yards and two touchdowns, rushed twice for 150 yards and a touchdown, and caught two passes for 30 yards and another score. Calvin Hale added 150 passing yards and two touchdowns. Ben Prinzen caught five passes for 125 yards and a touchdown, while Edwin Mitchell and Madison Prinzen also found the end zone.
Synergy had its own big-play combination. Bailey Yeoman caught six passes for 140 yards and three touchdowns, while Ethan Barber needed only three receptions to rack up 155 yards. Barber also picked off two passes on defence.
There was offence on both sides, the Huskers simply had more of it.
Augies keep rolling after comeback win

Last week, the Hotshots Sandblasting Augies needed a three-possession comeback to get the job done, this week, they didn't wait around.
The Augies produced 570 yards of offence in a 33-20 victory over the McLean & Dickey Thunderbolts, including a staggering 465 yards through the air. The Augies finished with 13 plays of 20-plus yards, seven of which went for at least 40.
Tyler Evans, back out of retirement, completed eight of 12 passes for 260 yards and two touchdowns, while Braeden Price added 205 passing yards and both ran for touchdowns. Brynnen Shelswell-Gilbert was one of their biggest threats, catching four passes for 140 yards and two touchdowns. Tamara Evans added 70 yards and a touchdown, while Mike Black turned two catches into 85 yards.
The Bolts actually finished with even more offence, piling up 614 total yards.
Rachel Holmes had one of the week's biggest receiving performances with four catches for 200 yards and a touchdown. Seamus McGee added 165 yards and a score on three receptions, while Kayden Halloch and Mitchell Hurtubise combined for 547 passing yards and three touchdowns.
There were big numbers everywhere. The Augies turned theirs into a third straight victory.
Scouts spread the wealth in another win

The Speaking of Wildlife Scouts continue making their mark in their expansion season.
Five different Scouts scored touchdowns in a 32-25 victory over the Mariposa Building Services Trojans.
Harrison Laugalys, Jacob Hammill, Matt Bolduc and Paul Laforet all reached the end zone as Speaking of Wildlife generated 305 total yards.
Hammill made his mark on both sides of the ball, breaking off a 60-yard rushing touchdown and adding an interception on defence. Bolduc turned his reception into a 55-yard score. Bolduc also recorded three flag pulls and three pass breakups.
The defending Power Bowl champion Trojans kept it close. Tyler Hinds threw for two touchdowns and added a 55-yard rushing score. Adam Vastopa, Jordan Rooley and Martin Cunningham each caught touchdowns, while Oswell James led Mariposa with four receptions for 65 yards.
But this night belonged to the Scouts. Five touchdowns. Five different scorers. Another win for SportsKlub's newest team.
The season keeps moving
Another week changed the picture again. The Silver Bombers are still perfect. The Augies followed their dramatic comeback with another victory. The Huskers answered last week's close loss with an offensive explosion. And the expansion Scouts continue creating moments of their own.
But that's only part of what Monday nights are about.
The touchdowns, big catches and box scores give everyone something to talk about when the games are over. The bigger part is getting everyone back together the next week to play, hang out and make a few more memories.
