SportsKlub Baseball begins this spring with four teams and three-pitch, no-outs format designed to keep the game fun and inclusive.

SportsKlub Baseball is set to debut this spring with four full rosters, as the league leans into its core philosophy of fun, flexibility, and community-first friendly competition. The 2026 season will feature the Muskies, Mets, Angels, and Rockies, with each team built around a mix of returning players, experienced slo-pitch competitors, and newcomers looking to be part of the growing SportsKlub environment.

With rosters larger than a traditional baseball lineup, organizers say the approach is intentional. Summer weekends can be busy, and player availability can change week to week. By building deeper rosters, the league is aiming to ensure teams remain full and games stay close in score, even as players rotate in and out throughout the season.

The structure of play will also reflect that mindset. SportsKlub Baseball will use a three-pitch format with no outs. Instead of traditional innings, teams will bat through their entire lineup at least three times, with the opportunity to continue hitting if time allows. The goal is simple: maximize participation and keep the game moving, while giving every player multiple chances to contribute.

It is a format designed to remove pressure and increase involvement, aligning with the league’s focus on creating a welcoming and social environment for all skill levels.

Each of the four teams brings a unique mix of experience and personality.

The Muskies feature a blend of veteran talent and versatile contributors, led by Jimmy Evans, a former Gold Glover for the Rockies franchise. The roster also includes Jesse Bremner, Jared MacDonald, and Kyler Sept, forming a group that combines defensive strength with offensive potential.

The Mets bring one of the most decorated groups into the season. Steve Hamilton, widely regarded as an Orillia slo-pitch legend, anchors a lineup that includes Tamara Evans, Liam MacDougall, and Adam Hillyard. The team also features Mark Young, a former Rockies third baseman and 2015 champion, adding further experience to an already deep roster.

The Angels offer a balanced group with a mix of emerging players and established contributors. Oswell James headlines the roster alongside a core that includes Griffin Knicely, Dylan Petroff, and Owen McCool. The team’s depth positions it as one that could develop quickly as the season progresses.

The Rockies enter with perhaps the most decorated collection of recent success. Mitchell Hurtubise, a two-time slo-pitch MVP and 2025 champion, leads a roster that includes Tucker McSwain and Waylon Clay, both multi-time champions. With a strong foundation of experienced players, the Rockies will be one of the teams to watch early.

While the rosters highlight talent and experience, the league’s focus remains consistent.

SportsKlub Baseball is built to be inclusive, co-ed, and accessible. Whether players are stepping onto the field with years of experience or picking up a bat for the first time in years, the emphasis is on participation, enjoyment, and building connections within the community.

As the season approaches, the teams are now set. Show up, get a few swings in, and be part of something that grows each summer.
